Indore: Madhya Pradesh's Chief Minister, Mohan Yadav, officially opened a new 128-slice CT scan machine at MGM Medical College's Super Specialty Hospital. He also inaugurated a newly built (G+2) block at the Government Dental College, costing around Rs 6 crore. The state-of-the-art CT scan machine, donated by the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, will greatly enhance the hospital's diagnostic capabilities. Yadav cut the ribbon of the CT scan room and received a briefing on the machine and its features.
The new building, constructed by the Public Works Department, will address space constraints highlighted by the Dental Council of India. The state government is also installing an OPG machine and 75 dental chair units at the dental college through the Madhya Pradesh Public Health Corporation to benefit undergraduate and postgraduate students and outpatients.
The Chief Minister emphasized that these new medical facilities demonstrate their dedication to improving healthcare services in the state. The advanced CT scan machine will aid in early disease detection and accurate diagnoses, while the new dental college building will offer top-notch facilities to students. During his visit, Yadav also inspected the upcoming ISBT at MR-10, set to be operational by December, announcing that Indore will soon house India's largest inter-state bus terminal. This modern facility, resembling an airport, will be a notable addition to Indore and the state's infrastructure.The structure, especially in anticipation of the upcoming Simhastha religious gathering, is the new 15-acre facility constructed by IDA at a cost of Rs 101 crore. This terminal is set to greatly improve the travel experience for passengers. It is designed to cater to up to 80,000 passengers daily and accommodate 1,440 buses round the clock. Featuring 14 ticket counters, a 1,000-vehicle parking facility, 43 bus platforms, a VIP lounge, a food court, and various amenities, the ISBT aims to provide top-notch services. Additionally, the CM inaugurated a library at Holkar Science College and assured the employees of Sanchi Dairy Plant in Indore that no one will lose their job, emphasizing the government's commitment to strengthen the state’s dairy sector and support dairy cooperatives. In a separate event, the CM unveiled a statue of martyr Amrita Devi Bishnoi at the city forest, honoring her and her community’s sacrifice in protecting the environment. During his visit to Indore, the CM also sought blessings from Praman Sagar Maharaj and learned about the 'Health of Indore Campaign', revealing that around 50,000 people have undergone blood tests as part of the initiative.
